Terms of Service

These terms explain how you may use the Kitchen AI iPhone app and its optional online services.

Effective October 14, 2026

At a glance: You can use the main app without creating an online account. Core kitchen data is stored on your iPhone. Optional shared-household and video-import features use online services; see our Privacy Policy.

1. Using Kitchen AI

Kitchen AI helps you organize recipes, ingredients, kitchen inventory, meal plans, and cooking information. You may use the app for personal, lawful purposes. You are responsible for the information you enter and for keeping access to your device secure.

Some functions need an internet connection or a third-party service. We may update, pause, or discontinue a feature when necessary to maintain the app or respond to a service change.

2. Optional shared households

An online account is not required for the main app. If you choose to create or join a shared household, a server account and shared records are created. Household members may see or edit information according to the permissions available in the app. Only add information you are entitled to share, and use care when entering another person's dietary or allergy details.

Keep invitation and recovery codes private. Disconnecting a device removes its saved access token from that device; it does not delete the server account or shared household data. Contact frankchenclc@gmail.com for help with account or shared-data deletion.

3. Your content and outside sources

You retain your rights in recipes and other content you create or add. You give us permission to process content only as needed to provide the online features you choose to use, such as sharing within a household or importing a video recipe.

If you import a recipe or video from another website, make sure your use is allowed by that website's terms and by applicable law. Kitchen AI does not grant permission to download, copy, or redistribute someone else's content. Third-party sites and services have their own terms and availability.

4. Recipe and AI information

Recipes, imported information, and AI-generated drafts may contain missing quantities, wrong ingredients, inaccurate nutrition information, or unsafe steps. Check the original source, food labels, temperatures, and allergen information yourself before preparing or serving food. Kitchen AI is not a substitute for medical, dietetic, or food-safety advice.

5. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes what stays on your device and what is sent to online services when you choose an optional feature. Your use of a device feature such as camera, speech recognition, or Apple Health also depends on permissions you grant in iOS.

6. Availability and responsibility

We work to keep Kitchen AI useful, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free results, or that an outside website will remain available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided as available. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top will show when the posted version takes effect. If a change materially affects your use, we will provide notice through the app or another appropriate channel where practical. For questions, email frankchenclc@gmail.com or visit Support.
